About Rita Chaires

As Director of Integrated Member Services, Rita Chaires leads the team responsible for the full member experience at the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys. From the moment an attorney joins the Academy through every phase of growth that follows, Rita and her team are a steady presence helping Members build law firms that are not only successful but meaningful.

With nearly two decades of experience working alongside estate planning and elder law firms, Rita brings a rare combination of strategic perspective and on-the-ground practicality to her work. She understands the real challenges attorneys face, not just in the abstract, but in the day-to-day decisions around marketing, client engagement, team development, and operational planning. Members who work closely with Rita describe her as someone who asks the right questions, holds them accountable, and helps them see a clearer path forward.

Rita is a certified Digital Marketing Professional through the Digital Marketing Institute and the American Marketing Association. She presents regularly at Academy Summits, leads training programs and webinars, and is a consistent voice Members turn to when navigating growth, change, and the next stage of their practice.

Her approach is calm, collaborative, and direct. Rita is not interested in generic strategies. She is interested in what works for each firm, each team, and each attorney she serves.

Born and raised in New York, Rita now lives in coastal Delaware with her husband Dave, where she enjoys the slower pace of life near the beach. She remains, without apology, a devoted Yankees fan.
