About Medeis Nadir
medeis@aaepa.comHailing from the faraway streets of beautiful Florence, Italy, where every cobblestone bespeaks of the human potential for creating beauty, Medeis has always vowed to apply such power to make his life really worthy of being lived.
After having acquired a taste for travel in his first solo venture at the age of eleven, he extensively visited Europe from the vantage point of his motorcycle—a sleeping bag his traveling companion—and subsequently worked for a time on the shores of northern Africa as a supervisor in the construction of pumping plants for natural gases.
Dissatisfied with the strict regime of a job that promised the ability to travel, but not the means to enjoy the foreign locations, Medeis decided to try his luck in America, choosing San Diego as his home. He learned to speak English through the intense reading that had always been one of the staples of his mental diet, and after the occasional extradition and attempted circumnavigation of the globe in a Russian expedition, he decided to reinvent his career, enrolling in a course of Graphic Design, which he completed in short time and with excellent grades. While still in school, Medeis applied for a position at the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys, where he was able to finally find a comfortable work environment where his worth would generally be recognized, and the curbing of his creativity be not too severe.
Medeis has been the Academy’s Graphic Designer since 1998—only occasionally enjoying the odd sojourn in a Chinese monastery to study Kung Fu, or a two-month weekend in Malaysia—and his skills and appreciation for his position in the firm have grown exponentially.
Professional Experience
Before joining the Academy, Medeis honed his expertise as a freelance designer, creating websites for a variety of clients in the San Diego area. His proficiency with software design applications includes PhotoShop, Illustrator, PageMaker, and Quark. As a freelancer, Medeis created letterhead, business cards, and brochures for Aquadyne. With Watermark Design, also based in San Diego, he created websites for their existing portfolio of clients. He has experience using video composition and 3-D animation software applications, and keeps current with the most modern trends in the Graphic Design industry.
Education
Medeis earned an Associate of Arts degree in Graphic Design/Multimedia from Platt College in San Diego.
