It’s a good thing Donna enjoys being busy. As the Executive Assistant, Donna is responsible for providing administrative support for the Education Department when it comes to preparation for training materials and events as well as keeping everyone’s calendar organized and ensuring deadlines are met! Donna is also in charge of keeping the CEO and President of the company on time and organized in her role as the Executive Assistant for Corporate matters.
Donna has extensive experience working in administrative and accounting positions. Since 1986, she has held three other accounting posts. At the San Diego Frame Manufacturing Company, she worked as the Accounts Receivable and Credit Manager for two years, and then she worked in Accounts Payable, then Receivables and moved on to Commissions with FileNet Corporation for nine years. In 1997, she accepted a position at George G. Glenner Alzheimer’s Family Centers where she worked as the Payroll/Personnel/Fiscal Administrative Assistant. Her combined experience from these previous positions has made her an asset to the Academy team.
Donna lives in San Diego with her daughter and two dogs. She moved here in 1980 with her parents and one of her sisters. She left San Diego to live in Orange County for several years, but returned in 1995 after the death of her husband to settle down near her family again. She dedicates much of her time to the Lake Murray Church where she works with the Youth Group. Donna leads the Youth Choir and directs musicals, as well as chaperoning youth group events. She is also the PTA President of her daughter’s school as well as a Parent Delegate with the San Diego School District. She says that after work, raising her daughter, Church and School activities there just isn’t much time left for anything else.
