The American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys (AAEPA) is pleased to share that Tereina Stidd, Director of Education, was featured as a subject matter expert in the AARP article, “How to Write a Rock-Solid Will,” written by Kerri Anne Renzulli and published on June 30, 2026.
The article explores the importance of creating and maintaining an up-to-date will, noting that many older adults either do not have a will or have not reviewed their estate planning documents in years. Tereina emphasizes that a well-drafted will should do more than appoint an executor—it should clearly define that individual’s authority and responsibilities to help ensure a smooth estate administration process.
The article also highlights the importance of complying with state-specific legal requirements and recommends reviewing estate planning documents regularly to reflect changes in personal circumstances and applicable law.
We’re honored that the Academy is recognized by AARP as a trusted voice in estate planning education.
