
Tess is the newest member of the Academy and brings with her a broad range of professional and personal experiences as the Accounting Manager.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Before join the Academy, Tess was assigned by Retired Referee Federal Magistrate Judge William McCurine (Judicate West) and his counsel to oversee financial delegations as a neutral to separated partners of a law practice. Previous to that, Tess worked as the office manager of a law firm specializing in HOA Law. Tess also owned her own bookkeeping company. Her clients’ businesses varied in nature from a world-renowned public speaker, to a home furnishings retailer, to a personal training gym, and a European bicycle touring company.
EDUCATION
Tess attended the University of Texas, at Austin, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications, with emphasis in Media Buying and Copywriting. Tess also attended the University of Massachusetts, at Boston, and received a degree in Accounting.
PERSONAL
Tess is passionate about learning. She has taken extensive classes in Museum Studies at Harvard Extension School; she attended the Cambridge School of Culinary Arts and specialized in pastry and bread making; she owned her own pottery studio; she is currently enrolled in the Creative Writing Program at the University of San Diego and she is a budding viticulturist trying her hands at Syrah and Cab.
Tess lives with her two sons, Alex and Max, and her two four-logged kids, Lola and Rocco.
