Sarah is the Projects Coordinator for the Projects and Event Planning Department (PEP Department). She supports in the strategic planning process to make all American Academy projects and programs successful. She also orchestrates memorable and inspirational events for members and her Academy teammates, motivates and energizes her team, and provides support and aid to on-going projects. She coordinates with all departments to make sure that all projects are moving forward as planned and that members are receiving the highest quality of support.
After graduating from Missouri State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology, Sarah became a Wellness Coordinator for Mercy Hospital, the largest hospital in Missouri. In that role she created and implemented Wellness Programs for the hospital and multiple businesses throughout all of Springfield, Missouri. Her job focused on gaining positive relationships, finding ways to be ever more efficient and thorough, while continually assessing employee needs. She created events, conducted presentations, assessed current programs, provided consults and rebuilt systems for success for businesses with over 600 employees all the way down to 70 employees. After moving to California in 2015 she stayed in a coordinator role for a therapy provider who contracted her out to many Assisted Living Facilities throughout San Diego and the surrounding areas. In that role she coordinated all Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapies for residents; as well as direct the Wellness Programs. Her experience ranges from building and implementing projects and planning events on a large scale, all the way to drawing blood as a phlebotomist in the chaos of an E.R.
Sarah was born and raised in Springfield, Missouri. She has always been drawn to southern California and finally made the move in November 2015. In her free time you will usually find her outside soaking up the California sunshine. She loves being active and enjoys hiking, surfing and exploring the many beaches. Her hobbies include painting, cooking and traveling when she can.
