
Lillian is the Practice Leadership Coach for Academy. Lillian coaches on all aspects related to setting and accomplishing their business goals. Strategic planning is a cornerstone of this coaching and includes guidance on creating a mission and vision for their firm, as well as setting short-term and long-term goals. Lillian is committed to and works directly with the Practice Building Consultants to guide members on creating a marketing plan to achieve their goals and reach unprecedented success. Members also rely on her advice for various strategic business decisions, such as staffing, compensation, consultation skills, expansion, partnerships, and other leadership oriented topics. She also enjoys the creative aspects of her role which include creating new training programs, marketing and advertising materials, and other resources for the benefit of the membership.
Professional Experience
Lillian joined the Academy team in January 2003. and coached Members as a Practice Building Consultant before taking on the role of Practice Leadership Coach. In this role she worked with both new and longer-term members on strategic planning, goal setting as well as creating and executing a marketing plan to reach their goals. This included providing guidance related to print, online and direct response marketing, public relations, workflow systems and case management, client retention and consultation systems, education, technology needs, all aspects of building a team. She was in regular communication with members to support them in staying on track for achieving their goals by problem-solving, brainstorming, and ensuring they had access to the proper Academy resources and training.
Before joining the Academy, she worked as an office manager for a small two attorney office in San Francisco, California where she performed administrative and customer service duties. While attending the University of California at Berkeley, Lillian was employed by Scientific Learning Corporation as assistant manager of the Learning Center, where she worked with learning and language disabled children using the company’s various software training programs. In addition, she assisted in hosting weekly informational seminars for parents in the local area.
Education
Lillian attended the University of California at Berkeley, where she created her own major entitled Images of Self in the Contemporary World, under the Interdisciplinary Field Studies Department.
Personal
Lillian was born and raised in Southern California, and lived 6 years in the Bay Area before moving to San Diego when she joined the Academy team. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, gardening, cycling, hiking and trying new restaurants. She also likes spending time and spoiling her 3 nieces and nephew. Lillian feels strongly about the humane treatment of animals, is vegetarian, and shares her home with her two dogs.
