As a Practice Building Coach, Joe helps Academy Members transform their lives and practices by working with them to build meaningful strategic plans, set targeted goals and put a plan in place to realize their vision.
Joe started his career over 20 years ago as an administrative assistant for an established estate planning firm. At the firm, Joe took on many responsibilities including intake coordination, office management, notary services, market analysis and traffic controller. After leaving the firm, Joe accelerated his business career through filling several key positions in different companies and service industries including: Senior Project Manager, Associate Director of Marketing & Research, and Co-Owner of an award-winning consulting firm in San Diego. This extensive business acumen makes Joe uniquely qualified to help mentor and support Academy Members on building their businesses. Joe joined the Academy as a Practice Building Coach in 2018.
Joe was born on a military base in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas where he spent the first few years of his life as a military brat. As an adolescent, he moved to small town in Kern County, California which inspired a strong connection to his Paiute-Shoshone tribal roots. Joe’s formative years were spent in San Diego, California where he has happily lived since. He enjoys ocean kayaking, playing bocce ball and daily walks with his dog, Tito, in historic Balboa Park.
Joe has a positive disposition on life and holds a committed investment to making the world a kinder place through small daily actions. Joe supports and gives his time to non-profit organizations like Heartfelt Helpings, the Light Up The Love movement (LUTL) and P.A.W.S. (Pets Are A Wonderful Support). He also personally finances volunteer work aimed at addressing the needs of homeless individuals, animal rights, and at-risk youth.
Joe’s long-served mantra remains, “A life lived helping others is a life worth living.”
