Inspired by his conviction that successful attorneys need more than just technical legal skills, Robert co-founded the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys in 1993. Today, he serves as Academy President, collaborating on the strategic direction of the organization and overseeing the Academy’s Marketing, Technical Support and Software Development departments.
Robert continues to combine his creative vision with his knowledge of what makes a successful law practice operate smoothly to produce innovative ideas that keep the Academy and its Members at the forefront of the estate planning industry.

His conviction that law is both a rewarding business and a noble profession has given Sanford Fisch a twofold mission. He has dedicated himself not only to deepening his own expertise, but also to helping fellow attorneys sharpen their skills while they build their businesses. It is this deep commitment to helping other attorneys that motivated him to co-found the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys.
As Chief Executive Officer, Sanford is responsible for collaborating on the strategic direction of the Academy. He is also responsible for building alliances with other organizations to broaden the resources available to Academy Members. He oversees the Accounting, Operations, Education, Member Services and Membership Recruiting departments.
Sanford focuses on efficiency and excellence. By constantly seeking simpler, better, and more effective methods of doing things, he continues to make a positive difference – not only for the Academy and its Members, but in the lives of families across the nation and in the practice of estate planning law.
