CounselPro™8 is a total practice management system hosted on Actionstep. It offers several integrations that enhance the user experience and streamline various tasks within CounselPro™8. From saving emails to a central location, synchronizing external Calendars, and connecting to other external applications, these integrations offer many time saving features.
Let’s explore some of the most common integrations our Members take advantage of:
- Microsoft Office 365: Integration with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint allows for seamless synchronization of emails, documents, and calendars. This integration enables a smooth workflow by ensuring that your Actionstep data remains consistent with your Microsoft Office applications. As an example, when you create a CounselPro™8 Word document, it’s automatically saved in Actionstep. You can also open documents from CounselPro™8 directly in Word without having to download it locally. As a bonus, when you save the document, it creates a new version of the document in Actionstep for you!
- Gmail: Actionstep also integrates with Gmail, allowing users to link emails to matters and store them as communication records. This integration simplifies email management by centralizing communication within the Actionstep platform. It becomes easier to track and access relevant emails related to specific matters or clients. There is no fee for the Gmail integration.
- Calendars: Microsoft Calendars and Google Calendars can sync with Actionstep, providing the ability to view and manage calendar events within the Actionstep platform. This integration ensures that your schedule remains updated across both platforms, avoiding any scheduling conflicts and improving overall productivity.
- HotDocs: Actionstep integrates with HotDocs, a powerful document automation software. This integration allows users to generate customized legal documents using our robust legal templates both quickly and efficiently. By automating document creation, it saves time and reduces the chance of error. The Academy provides 17 templates to create 28 different legal documents and funding transfer letters. When the template is opened in Actionstep, the HotDocs integration opens the HotDocs interview directly inside Actionstep.
- DocuSign: Streamline the process of gathering signatures on documents sent out from Actionstep with Actionstep’s DocuSign eSignature integration. You can seamlessly send documents to your client from within a matter for electronic signature. This not only helps you gather signed documents faster but also generates significant cost savings by eliminating paper and manual processes. There’s also full document encryption to ensure compliance and data privacy.
- QuickBooks Online: The QuickBooks online integration allows you to create invoices directly in a matter which will then be pushed to your QuickBooks online account in real-time. Any payments or credit notes made to those invoices will also be added to your account. You can edit and delete invoices and payments directly in Actionstep and have these feed automatically over QuickBooks online.
- Actionstep Payments: Actionstep Payments is a built-in credit card and bank transfer processing tool. Granted this isn’t an external integration, but it will help you consolidate and streamline your payment system all from within your Actionstep system. With Actionstep Payments, your law firm can quickly and easily bill clients, accept credit and debit card payments online, and track invoices and outstanding payments more easily. Your clients’ payment information automatically populates in Actionstep and QuickBooks online (if integrated) for seamless reconciliation of accounts – no more wasting time on double entry or switching between platforms. There is no setup cost and no monthly subscription costs. The only costs are associated with the credit card transactions themselves, which you can review here.
