Halloween around our office is a pretty fun time. Many of us, myself included, are self-proclaimed drama nerds who anxiously await the arrival of Halloween each year. We get to trade in our typical office personas for alter egos or something completely silly and different. The downside to All Hallows’ Eve is the overindulgence of candy. It is so hard to say no, especially to those darn Reese’s peanut butter cups!
As I type, I’m eyeing four “goody” bags lined up on my desk from the secret office ghost… each filled with sweet treats, from cookies to candy corn and all sorts of miniature chocolates. By the time Halloween actually hits, my sweet tooth is usually satiated and in its place is a pretty good case of candy hangover. If I don’t see another mini Twix bar for another year, I’m completely fine with that.
If you’re like me and have increased your blood sugar to unsafe levels or you simply have too much candy left over and want to share the love – err, sugar – here is a great blog on Sweet Ways to Donate Your Halloween Haul to Those in Need.
Happy Halloween! Enjoy!
