Education Director, Dennis Sandoval is Published Once Again!
Dennis Sandoval wrote an article titled "Tax-Efficient
Funding of a Lifetime Special Needs Trust," that was recently
published in the October 2005 issue of Estate Planning Magazine.
As the article explains, numerous strategies are available to taxpayers
with potential estate tax liabilities who wish to fund a special
needs trust for a disabled beneficiary in a gift and/or estate tax-efficient
manner.
Reports
of Its Death Are Greatly Exaggerated: The State Death Tax Lives
On
Steve Hartnett, Associate Director of Education and Dennis Sandoval,
Director of Education published this article in the February/March
2004 issue of Journal of Practical Estate Planning magazine.
In the article, they discuss the changes in state death taxes resulting
from the Economic Growth and Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2001.
They also explain how this legislation results in the loss of a
significant source of state revenue. State response to this result
differs widely.
